WHEN NaOH is added to the metal Zinc (Zn)
Sodium zincate is formed since, sodium is more reactive than zinc and hydrogen gas evolves.
EQUATION :-
2NaOH +Zn --->Na2ZnO2 +H2
WHEN NaOH is added to Hydrochloric acid
by neutralisation reaction a salt Sodium chloride and water is formed.
EQUATION :--
NaOH + HCL ---> NaCL + H2O
