LET the two equal forces be F dyne each

acting at right angle

We know resultant of two forces is given by

 \sqrt{F^{2}+ F^{2} + 2F^{2}cos90} \\ \\ = \sqrt{2F^{2}+ 0 } = F\sqrt{2} \\ \\ AsF\sqrt{2} = 1414 \\ \\ F = \frac{1414}{\sqrt{2}}\\ \\ so F = 1000 dyne
