(i) Area =2d1×d2=216×12=96cm2

(ii) As the diagonals of a rhombus bisect each other at right angles, we have

AO=OC and BO=OD

⇒AO=216=8cm and BO=212=6cm

Now, in right △AOB

AB2=AO2+BO2

⇒AB2=82+62=64+36=100

⇒AB=10cm

Therefore, the side of rhombus =10cm
