In the story “The Storyteller” by Saki, Bertha is one of the important characters. She is extraordinarily good, obedient and a brave girl. For her goodness, she receives three medals.

On hearing this news, the prince of the town invites her to the park. The park of the prince is the mysterious place were there are no trees, no lakes and no colourful flowers.

The park is full of pigs only. The pigs wander here and there inside the park. On eating the pigs, the wolf entered into the park. There was a furious fight between the pigs and the wolf. Bertha was scared and hide near the bush. On hearing the sound of the medals the wolf turned to Bertha. Then only Bertha realized that if she is not that much good she would be safe in the town.
