The Retina is your sensory membrane that lines inside surface at the back of eyeball. There are several layers in it, including a layer that has special cells called Photoreceptors. There are 2 types of photoreceptors, one is rods and second is cones. Photoreceptors can be recognized by tightly packed membrane having photopigment rhodopsin.

Answer is (C)

Answer:

The retina of the eye has the photoreceptors.

Photoreceptor cells are mainly of two types- rods and cons.

The rods function in presence of low light and are responsible for low light vision whereas the cones are activated only in brighter light and are responsible for colour vision.

There's also another photoreceptor known as intrinsically photosensitive retinal ganglion cells, which are indirectly related to sight and are responsible for pupillary reflex and circadian rhythms.
