Harish Sharma was a manager at State Bank of India in Hoshiarpur, Punjab and he had been approached by a poor farmer for an educational loan for his son as he had attained a scholarship for a graduation course in Computer Science at the University of Illinois. His son Bhushan passed class twelfth from Vidyagyan school where he studies from class sixth to twelfth and his parents had to spend nothing for his education. With the help of the school teachers only he had applied at the universities in the USA and he was able to get admission at Illinois.
Though he was getting the scholarship, there were other expenses that were necessary and with their economic condition, his father could not afford any expenses. Harish wanted to help him with all his intent, but due to the inability of the farmer to give a guarantee and mortgage, he could not help him.
Within a month Harish got transferred to Chandigarh and he never heard anything about Bhushan or his father. Nevertheless, he would always carry a remorse for not being able to help someone who was deserving and whose need was genuine.
