1) An old lady- lost eyesight- calls in a doctor- agrees to pay large fees if cured- doctor comes daily- starts stealing one piece of furniture everyday- delays the cure – at last cures her – demands his fees- lady refuses- to pay, saying cure is not complete- doctor objects- lady says sight not restored as she cannot see her furniture
2) Once a big, kind hearted buffalo- lived in forest- never troubled anyone- just above tree- lived a wicked monkey- monkey troubled buffalo- he saw buffalo sleeping- would jump up and down on her back- sometimes, hold buffalo’s tail- swing from it- tug at her horns- this caused pain to buffalo- she remained silent- a deer saw this everyday- he felt bad- didn’t like monkey’s cruel behaviour- one day asked buffalo- why don’t you punish monkey- buffalo replied- I don’t want to give pain- day is not very far when the monkey will be published- one day buffalo was away- a wild buffalo came – stand under the same tree- monkey jumped and landed on wild buffalo’s back- buffalo became mad with anger- threw monkey on the ground- kicked him hard – monkey badly injured- quickly climbed the tree- never troubled kind buffalo again
