Direct Democracy also called as Pure Democracy is a form of government where the people of a nation directly participate in the decision or policy making of the nation, it is contrary to the presently practiced representative form of democracy.

In a direct democracy, if any issue arises, the decision is taken by the people directly by casting their vote, called a referendum.
