  • This equation is not a quadratic equation.

Now, Simplifying the given equation,

 \huge \frac{x + 1}{x}  = 3 \\  \\  =  > x + 1 = 3x \\   =  > x  - 3x + 1 = 0 \\  =  > 1  = 2x \\  =  >  \red{x =  \frac{1}{2} }

Answer:

(x+1)/x =3

x+1 =3x         ( by cross multiplication)

1=3x-x           ( on transposing the like terms to respective sides)

1=2x

1/2 = x           when the variable is being multiplied by any coefficient, it

                     goes to divide the number to another side

therefore, x=1/2
