Rewrite the following sentences inserting a, an or the where necessary.
1. Why are you in hurry to leave? Why don't you stay for some more days and enjoy beautiful
view of snow-covered peaks of Alps?
2. About half hour later, I saw old truck park in front of house. A rather strange-looking gentleman
stepped out of truck and gazed up at window, where silhouette of woman was discernible.
3. It is not easy to become Florence Nightingale or Mother Teresa, but all of us can extend hand
of compassion and help poor and needy.
4. Managing Director was busy in urgent meeting with Business Head of firm. I had to wait for
hour and half before I could meet and discuss with him tentative deadline for current projects.
5. It was beautiful day. Sun was shining and birds were singing. There was not single cloud in sky.
I sat in garden in wee hours of morning, watching sunlight filtering through leaves in trees.​
