v=u+at
for freely falling body u is zero
so v=gt as gravity is acting

dharam1234: is this a correct answer
poorvitha1231: i think
kvnmurty: ok
kvnmurty: direction of velocity is downwards

for a free fall body ,

a = -g { g is acceleration due to gravity which is always directed in downward direction so, negative sign include here .
because we choose reference point of . highest level so,
v = -ve
then,

-V = u -gt

but in free falling initial velocity =0
so, -V = 0 -gt
-V = -gt
V =gt

Pramodhkrishna: is this correct
abhi178: 100% perfect . if you want to explanation read some advance book of physics
abhi178: @prema mam my sir asked g is always taking negative , but conside woth refference level
kvnmurty: you have to say that direction of velocity is downwards.. v = g t. or if reference direction is upwards, then v = - g t
