Rhizobium is a bacteria found in root nodules of leguminous plants.

Plants cannot take nitrogen directly from atmosphere.
This rhizobium bacteria has a very important role as it helps to convert free atmospheric nitrogen in soluble form. This soluble form of nitrogen helps is easily absorbed by the plants through the roots and the plants can use that nitrogen to prepair protein.
