Given :   R₁ , R₂ and R₃ are the filament resistance of  50 W, 100 W and 150 W bulbs, respectively.

all three bulbs are designed to work at the  same voltage

To find : Choose correct option

a. Ri < R2 < R3

b. R3 < R2 < R1

C. Ri = R2 = R3

d. R1 > R2 < R3

Solution:

P = power

V = voltage

R = Resistance

P = V²/R

As Voltage is same for all constant

Hence

P ∝ 1/R

More the power less the resistance

50 W < 100 W < 150 W

  R₁   >    R₂  >    R₃

R₃  < R₂  <    R₁

option B is correct
