Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the fraction to be cut off :-

area of carpet-area of room

AREA OF CARPET =

area of a rectangle = l*b

=4*6 2/3

=4/1*20/3

=12/3*20/3

=240/3

=80 m

AREA OF ROOM =

area of rectangle =l*b

=3 1/3*5 1/3

=10/3*16/3

=160/3

=53.3 m

TO BE CUT OFF =

80-53.3= 26.7 m

Answer: 80/9

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of carpet = 4m x (6 2/3 = (3 x 6) +2 =20/3) = 80/3

Area of room = (3 1/3 m) × (5 1/3 m) = 10/3 x 16/3 = 160/9

80/3 = 240/9

ANS - Therefore, 240/9 - 160/9 = 80/9

+ Even I am from DPS and the other dude's answer is not a fraction .
