Ria started coughing violently while swallowing her food during the recess. why this happened

Food may have entered in her windpipe instead of oesophagus. Coughing occurred in order to clear the blockage of windpipe.

this is because ria was choking this happens because when a person chokes the good enters the wind pipe and comes back in reverse with the air that we breathe out
