rice required for 12 members for 15 days?

For solving this question , first of all you need to find the price of rice for one member for one day


480rs of rice for 8 mem for 20days
therefore
price of rice for each member for 20days =
480/ 8 = Rs60
now each mem consumes rs 60 rice in 20day
therefore consumption of one day of each member = 60/20 = Rs 3

now cost of rice for 12 members for 15 days =
cost of rice for one mem in one day ×12×15

therefore 3 ×12×15 = Rs 540

Cost of rice for 8 members in a family for 20 days=Rs.480

Cost of rice for 8 members for 1 day=480÷20=Rs.24

Cost of rice for 12 members for 1 day=12×24=288÷8=Rs.36

.: cost of rice for 12 members in a family for 15 days=36×15

=Rs.540
