Explanation:

Rice sold in one hour = 280.5 kg

Therefore Rice sold in 8 hours {i.e on day} = 280.5 * 8 = 2244 kg

We know that  1 metric ton = 1000 kg

From above, we also know that, 2244 kg is sold

Therefore, 2244/1000 = 2.2 metric ton
