Mrs. phumphrey is a rich lady and spends a lot of money for buying expensive and needless things for tricky. she also overfed him because she loved him and thought that he is suffering from malnutrition and gave him a lot of food. she provided all the luxury to the dog and and did not give him any exercise which made him ill.
