Hey mate
Really tuff riddle but I make it easy .
Some of the riddles have the answers in the question itself .
In 5th and 6th line there is answer to question want means observe it .
"The victim took the pill in water and died "it means the poison is not in pill in the water so the victim died .
Hope it helps

Really a tough riddle na ?
Yeah, of course it is a tough one. Riddles such kind have their answers in the question only.
So, what we need to do is just read properly. If you will read the riddle with concentration, then you may notice the fifth and sixth line :-
"The victim took their pill with water and died. The killer survived."
We are not sure that the killer is saying truth that one of the pills was poisonous and other one was harmless. Maybe he was lying and yes, we have got the answer. Actually watch the pills were harmless, the "Water" with which the victim took the was poisonous. And Thus, the kidnapper always got saved because he took the harmless pill and also the harmless water.
