Answer:

Given,

Selling Price (S.P) of a motor cycle = ₹10600

Profit℅ = 6℅

Let the cost price (C.P) of a motor cycle be X

By formula,

Profit = C.P × Profit℅

= X × 6℅

= X × 6/100

= 6X/100 (divide both numerator and denominator by 2)

= 3X/50

A.T.Q,

C.P + Profit = S.P

or, X + 3X/50 = 10600

or, (X × 50 + 3X × 1) / 50 = 10600

or, (50X + 3X) = 10600 × 50

or, 53X = 10600 × 50

or, X = (10600 × 50) / 53

or, X = 200 × 50 [ 10600 ÷ 53]

or, X = 10000

Answer :- The cost price of the motor cycle is ₹10,000
