★ Given :-

  • In a right angled triangle, sum of the squares of the sides making right angle is 400.

★ Have to Find :-

  • What is the length of the Hypotenuse ?

★ Solution :-

(Hypotenuse)² = (Perpendicular)² + (Base)²

Lets see the concept.

Here we are going to use pythagorean theorem.

What is Pythagorean Theorem ?

According to the Pythagorean theorem also known as ' pythagoras theorem ' states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the base and the perpendicular ( lengths of other two sides ) of the right-angled triangle.

Now, lets do the question.

In question It is said that the sum of the square of the sides making right angle traingle is 400.

Now, we know two sides of right angle triangle together make third side which is known as hypotenuse.

➹ 400 = (Hypotenuse)²

➹ √400 = Hypotenuse

➹ Hypotenuse = 20 units.

Hence,

Length of the Hypotenuse = 20 units.

\sf\small{According \:to\: the \:pythagoras  \:theorem, }

\sf\small{Sum \:of\: the \:square \:of \:the \:square \:of\: the\:sides }\sf\small{making \:the \:right \:angle\: is \:equal \:to \:the\:square\:of}\sf\small{ the \:third \:side.}
