==> We can find L. C. M. of 18 and 12

We get, by prime factorisation

18 = 2 x 3 x 3 and 12 = 3 x 2 x 2

18 = 2¹ x 3² and 12 = 3 x 2²


LCM = Product of greatest power of each prime factor

==> LCM = 3² x 2²
==> LCM = 36

Hence, Time taken for both of them to meet at same point together is 36 minutes.
