Honesty is the best policy
One Saturday morning I woke up to visit the local shop to do some shopping for my mother. I was given some money to do the shopping. This was a usual routine that I did for my mother every weekend on Saturdays. That day was no different and I went in to the shop.
Within no time I was done with my shopping and I went over to the counter to make the payment. I noticed how Mr. Raghav was unusually disturbed and seemed confused. He quickly but in a dull manner did my calculation and gave me my balance. I took the items that I had bought and the balance and off I went on back home.
When I got home, I took the items to the store and counted the balance I received from Mr. Raghav before giving them to my mother. When counting the money, I realized that Mr. Raghav had given me a balance that was in excess of what I should have received. It was a lot of money. In his confused state he had handed me over an excess balance. I informed my mother and informed her that I was going to give the excess back.
I started on with the walk back to Mr. Raghav’s shop and found him still in his moody and confused state. I greeted him and explained to him what had happened. Mr Raghav was so elated, he couldn’t believe that anyone could be honest enough to do such a thing. He was very happy and asked me to keep half of what I had given him back. I couldn’t believe it – it was a lot of money. Mr. Raghav also explained to me that he had just lost his uncle and that is why he was in such a state.
That day I learned one important lesson that honesty does pay and indeed honesty is the best policy.

When I was of 11 years I went for the another school entrance examination when I gave came back to home and after some days the result came and I was not passed in the exam my father wanted that I should study in that school only because that school was the best of my city then he take the source of judge of high court to take my admission to that school only and when my interview was there I passed it very well and when I came back to the I first went to the principle office with my father I know that taking source is very wrong that is why I said to my father please do not take source of any one I will study in my present school only but didn't listen to me . In the principle office mam said why your admission was not done then I said mam because of less marks in Hindi subject then mam said you are a honest person then she gave me a chocolate and said that be honest like that only in future .
