Beneath this program, the special care was given to the children to maintain their immune and anemia repression in mother was practiced along with the greater administration of diarrhoeal infections by including Oral fluid therapy to restrict diarrhoeal mortality.

In 1988-89 Diarrhoeal disorders Treatment Units were ascertained in Kerala. Furthermore, ORS stations are being installed in various villages and metropolitan areas to increase awareness of the program.
