Answer:

In times today people are loosing their touch to their cultural values and feeling of closeness to their roots. Especially when diffusion of cultural values and globalization takes place, sometimes we get prone to adopting values of other cultures rather than our own. In such times, there is a necessity of the preservation of ones cultural values to be considered as a legal right. In fact, under the Human Declaration for Human Rights, this is a legitimate right and there are more than half of the countries of the world who have signed this declaration.

When we talk about preservation of cultural values we keep in mind that " language" is a great and influential part of ones' culture. All cultures and humans belonging to any society, any religion and any culture have a right to protect their language because they wouldn't want their language to get lost. Language makes up a great part of history and history shows what struggles have a group of people faced and how they emerged from it. Language shows the identity of the people, it shows their uniqueness of being a part of a specific group. Like when 2 nation theory was discussed it showed the differences among the Hindus and the Muslims and their languages are also different no matter how similar they might seem to the outsiders.
