IN THE present age of democracy, there is always a tendency to put all emphasis on the rights and to forget that rights also imply duties. Everyright carries with it a duty. ... Rightsand duties are equally important and that is why our Constitution has laid down certain duties for the citizens along with rights.

All these rights are to be enjoyed by all persons without any discrimination as to race, sex, language, religion, political or other national or economic origin, property, birth or another status. Nevertheless, rights imply duties. So when we call for respect of human rights, it means not only that our rights must be preserved but also that we must respect the rights of others.

This means that human rights cannot be exercised without restriction particularly when their exercise would interfere with the rights of others Of course, as in our country. Fundamental rights are ordinarily not subject to restriction except those which are provided by law, and are necessary to protect national security, public health or morals, or the rights and freedoms of others. not only that our rights must be preserved but also that we must respect the rights of others.
