A truck is rolling down an inclined plane following gravity. The engine is running with constant power, so the truck gets a constant acceleration parallel to the plane (additional to the gravity) The truck carries a rectangular container, partially filled with water. In the horizontal position, the water level is h0. (See fig. 2)
Calculate the inclination α of the water surface towards the plane as a function of the acceleration and the angle ϕ with the help of a force balance.α
Tip:
Choose the position of the coordinate system at the left bottom edge of the container, x- and z-axis parallel to the walls of the container.
