Riley is packing 144 pencils ,120 files , and 108 notebooks equally into as many boxes as possible

Steps:
1) Required no. of boxes will be HCF of 144, 120,108 .

120 = 12 \times 10 \\ \\ 144 = 12 \times 12 \\ \\ 108 = 12 \times 9

2) Hence, HCF ( 120,108,144 ) = 12

Therefore, Greatest number of boxes to pack all items into them equally will be 12 .

(B) Each box contain :


 \frac{144}{12} = 12 \: pencils \\ \\ \frac{108}{12} = 9 \: notebooks \\ \\ \frac{120}{12} = 10 \: files
