Ripening of mango is a physical change

Ripening of mango is a physical as well as chemical change.

Because of the reason that no new substance is formed here and along with ripening it grows it can be a physical change.

It can be termed as a chemical change as the ripening is an irreversible reaction which changes the taste of the fruit.
