Answer:

Here is your answer

When one end of capillary tube of radius r is immersed into a liquid of density ρ which wets the sides of the capillary tube (water and capillary tube of glass), the shape of the liquid meniscus in the tube becomes concave upwards. R = radius of curvature of liquid meniscus.

Hope you like it

Explanation:

The ascent formula is the formula for the rise of a liquid in a capillary tube. ... Let this force make an angle with the wall of the capillary tube. This force acts on the liquid at the liquid solid interface and hence acts on a length equal to the circumference of the circle where is the radius of the capillary tube.

Here is you answer.

Oh!

Rise of liquid in capillary tube is actually due to the surface tension of the liquid

Formula is just very simple :-

h = 2T/Rpg = 2Tcosx/rpg

Here ,

r = R cosx

I think just formula is not enough to solve the problem but theory and pictures and derivation of formula is also important

Anyway you only have asked about formula but I wanted to also tell how to derive the formula and how to solve questions on it
