Given:

Rishi jogs in a cricket ground of circular path and makes 3 rounds.

To Find:

Distance and displacement of Rishi at the end of 3 rounds respectively

Solution:

Distance is the total length of the path covered.

For a circular path,

Distance traveled in 1 round = Circumference of the circle = 2 pi r

So, distance traveled in 3 rounds= 3 x 2 pi r

Displacement is the length of the shortest path between two given points.

Since in a circular path, the final position coincides with the initial, so displacement is zero.

Hence, the Distance and displacement of Rishi at the end of 3 rounds respectively are 3 x 2 pi r and 0.
