the cost price of the wrist watch was 2200 and the selling price of the watch was 1980 rupees.
since cost price is greater than selling price then it is Loss.
Loss is equal to cost price minus selling price.
2200-1980= 220.
loss percent is equal to total loss upon cost price into 100.
220/2200*100
by solving this we get 10% loss.

Answer:

Hence the loss in selling wrist watch is Rs.220 and Loss percent is 10%.

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the data given in the above question,

The given that the cost of wrist watch is Rs.2200

Selling price of wrist watch is Rs.1980

We have to find the loss and loss percentage,

The loss in selling wrist watch is as below,

Loss=C.P-S.P\\Loss=2200-1980\\Loss=Rs.220

So, the loss percent is as follow,

Loss percent =\frac{loss}{C.P}\times 100\\=\frac{220}{2200}\times 100\\=\frac{1}{10}\times 100\\=10\%
