Answer :

›»› Rita have Rs. 100 notes = 50

›»› Rita have Rs. 50 notes = 40

Given :

  • Rita has only 100 rupee notes and 50 rupee notes. She has 7000 rupee in total. The ratio of 100 rupee notes to 50 rupee notes is 5:4.

To Find :

  • How many notes of each type does she have?

Required Solution :

Here in this question we have to find How many notes of each type does she have. So, firstly we have to consider the the ratio of 100 rupees notes as an variable accordingly to 60 rupees notes. Then, we can frame the solution to get our final result.

Let ,

The number of 100 rupees notes be "5x" and the number of 50 rupees notes be "4x"

→ Value of 5x Rs. 100 notes = 5x × 100

→ Value of 5x Rs. 100 notes = 500x

→ Value fo 4x Rs. 50 notes = 4x × 50

→ Value fo 4x Rs. 50 notes = 200x

→ Total money Rita has = Value of 5x Rs. 100 notes + Value fo 4x Rs. 50 notes

→ Total money Rita has = 500x + 200x

→ Total money = 7000

So ,

⇛ 500x + 200x = 700

⇛ 7000x = 700

⇛ x = 7000/700

⇛ x = 10

Now ,

➨ Number of 100 rupees notes = 5x

➨ Number of 100 rupees notes = 5 × 10

➨ Number of 100 rupees notes = 50

➨ Number of 50 rupees notes = 4x

➨ Number of 50 rupees notes = 4 × 10

➨ Number of 50 rupees notes = 40

Hence, the number of 100 rupees notes is 50, and number of 50 rupees notes is 40.
