Rita has only 1oo rupees notes and 50 rupees notes and total rupees 7000 .The ratio of 100 rupees notes to 50 rupees notes is 5:4 . how many of each type of notes does she have ?

let the common multiple of ratio= 5:4 be X
==> no. of 100 RS notes =5X
==> no. of 50 RS notes =4X

value of 5X RS. 100 notes = 5X*100=500X.
value of 4X RS. 50 notes = 4X*50= 200X


according to given condition,
==>500X+200X=7000
==>700X=7000
==>X=10
now put the X value in ratios= 5*10=50(100 RS notes)
=4*10=40(50 RS notes )
total notes 50+40= 90
