Rita is 29m away from the centre of a circular flower bed. Find the distance she has to cover to reach the flower bed along the tangential path, if the radius of the flower bed is 20m

in the given figure ,
OQ is the radius=20m
OP is the distance of rita from the center=29m
QP is the tangent
Using pythogorous theorem find QP
QP*QP=OP*OP-OQ*OQ
QP*QP=29*29-20*20
 QP*QP=841-400
 QP*QP=441
QP=21m
therefore rita has to cover 21m to reach the flower bed along the tangential path
