Rita ishalf of her father's age. Twenty years ago the age of her father was 6 times age of Rita. Find the age of Rita and her father?

let Rita's age be x years
then father's age=2x years
20 year's ago
father's age= 2x-20 years
Rita's age = x-20
father's age = 6(x-20)
so 2x-20=6(x-20)
2x-20=6x-120
-20+120= 6x - 2x
100=4x
so 100÷4=x
25=x= Rita's age
father's age = 2x= 2×25 = 50 years
