Here is your answer.
Let the Sum is x
invested in 2 years and 8% p.a
and
in II CASE
Sum = 34350 - x
invested in 4 years ,8.5%
Now. I Case

As we know the formula
SI = PRT/100
 =  \frac{x \times 8 \times 2}{100}  \\  \\  =  \frac{4x}{25}
Now II case

SI = PRT/100
 = (34350 - x) \times  \frac{4 \times 8.5}{100}  \\  \\  = (34350 - x) \times  \frac{8.5}{25}  \\
ATQ
TOTAL INTEREST IS 9204
 \frac{4x}{25}  + (34350 - x) \times  \frac{8.5}{25}  = 9204 \\  \\ 4x + 34350 \times 8.5 - 8.5x = 9204 \times 25 \\  \\  - 4.5x + 291975 = 230100 \\  \\  - 4.5x = 230100 - 291975 \\  \\  - 4.5x =  - 61875 \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 61875}{ - 4.5}  \\  \\ x = 13750
So Other part is
= 34350 - 13750
= 20600

Therefore he invested is 13750 and 20600

Here is your answer

Let Sum is x and other is 34350-x

ATQ
 \frac{x \times 8 \times 2}{100}  + (34350 - x) \times  \frac{8.5 \times 4}{100}  = 9204 \\  \frac{4x}{25}  + (34350 - x) \times  \frac{8.5}{25}  = 9204 \\ on \: solving \\ x = 13750 \\  \\ other \: is \\ 34350 - 13750 \\  = 20600
So he Invested
Rs 13750 and 20600

Thanks
