Explanation:

let C.p of first tel. = x,profit1 = 30% =3/10

s.p1 = 13x/10

c.p of 2nd = 3600 - x ,loss = 20% = 1/5

s.p2 = 4/5(3600 - x) = 2880 - 4x/5

since there was no loss no profit so

(13x/10)- (x) =(3600 - x)-(2880 - 4x/5)

3x/10 + x/5 = 720

5x = 720 => x = Rs 144 (c.p1)

s.p2 = 2880 - 4(144)/5 = 2764.80

c.p2 = 3600 -144 = 3456

required s.p of 2nd TV to make 25%profit on it =3456 + 25%of3456

= 4320

required increase in s.p of 2nd tel. than the previous s.p of 2nd TV to make profit of 25% on it

=4320 - 2764.80

= Rs1555.20 Answer
