Answer

Width of TV screen = 24 Inch  and  TV will not fit into the cabinet

Step-by-step explanation:

Rithika buys an LED TV which has a 25 inches screen

TV screen size is always Diagonal

Diagonal = 25 inch

Height of TV screen = 7 inch

Width of TV screen = W inch

Applying Pythagoras theorem

25² = 7² + W²

=> W² = 625 - 49

=> W² = 576

=> W = 24

Width of TV screen = 24 Inch

Rithika  TV cabinet is 20 inches wide

20 < 24

=> TV will not fit into the cabinet

Answer:

Take the sides of a right angled triangle

triangle ABCas

a = 7 inches

b = 25 inches

r =?

By Pythagoras theorem,

b ^ 2 = a ^ 2 + c ^ 2

25 ^ 2 = 7 ^ 2 + c ^ 2

· c ^ 2 = 25 ^ 2 - 7 ^ 2 =>

= 62549 576

:. c ^ 2 = 24 ^ 2

→ c = 24 inches

.. Width of TV cabinet is 20 inches which is lesser than the width of the screen ie. 24 inches.

.. The TV will not fit into the cabinet.
