Let R be the age of Ritika and M be the age of her Mother.
Given R + 26 = M --- (1)
In 9 years her mother will be twice as old as Ritika.
(M + 9) * 2 = R + 9
M = R + 9 ---- (2)
Solve (1) and (2), we get
M = 17 years.
Substitute M in (1), we get
R = 17 + 26 = 43 years.
