Rituals are psychologically useful but they change through time as per the needs of the society and it’s culture . Some rituals become meaningless or even redundant or as the culture changes some rituals can be even considered detrimental to the fabric of that culture. So holding on to fixed riruals is not correct because they are not eternal truths so must change by being replaced by new rituals .
