The river Krishna and Godavari flows towards the east only because they cannot flow towards the west, as there are higher mountain ranges which obstructs their flow and also there are no plain regions to flow.

Not only the river Krishna and Godavari but most of the rivers in India flows towards the east, except Narmada and Tapati.

Harivamsi: but y those two rivers flow at different direction
Jehan: it is because of the height of the western ghats
Jehan: pls mark as brainliest
Jehan: also the flow of the river is blocked
Jehan: by mountains
Jehan: pls mark me as brainliest
