9 hrs

was flowing = 200m

will reach = 245m

245+(-200)

= 245-200

= 45m

the river level rises by = 5cm every hour

= 45÷5cm

= 45/5 = 9/1 = 9 hrs

Answer:

The time taken to reach 245m from 200m level mark is 9hours.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the river Yamuna was flowing at 200m level mark.

Rate of rise of the water level is 5 m/hr

The final water level mark is 245m.

Change in the water level is the difference between the level marks

= 245-200=45m

As the river level rises by 5m for every hour, so to find the time taken to reach 245m from 200m, divide the raised level with the rate or rise.

Therefore, the required time to reach 245m level mark is

\dfrac{45}{5} = 9 ~hours

Therefore, the time taken to reach 245m from 200m level mark is 9hours.
