Solution :-

→ Weight of flour in smaller bag = 0.75kg

So,

→ Total weight of flour in 7 smaller bags = 0.75 * 7 = 5.25 kg .

now,

→ Weight of flour in larger bag = 1.65 kg

So,

→ Total weight of flour in 3 bigger bags = 1.65 * 3 = 4.95 kg .

comparing both weights,

→ 5.25 kg > 4.95 kg .

therefore, 7 smaller bags has more weights than 3 bigger bags .

hence,

→ Total weight of 10 bags = 5.25 + 4.95 = 10.2 kg (Ans.)

Given : Riya had 10 bags of flour.

She had 7 smaller bags with 0.75 kg of flour each and

3 bigger bags of 1.65 kg of flour each.

To Find :

a) What is the total weight of all the 10 bags?

b) Compare the total weight of 7 smaller bags with the total weight of 3 bigger bags.

Solution:

One smaller bag weight = 0.75 kg

=> 7  smaller bag weight = 7 * 0.75  kg

=>  7  smaller bag weight = 5.25 kg

One bigger bag weight = 1.65 kg

=> 3   bigger bag weight = 3 * 1.65  kg

=>  3   bigger bag weight = 4.95 kg

Total Weight = 5.25  + 4.95

= 10.2  kg

5.25  > 4.95

=>   7  smaller bag weight  > 3   bigger bag weight

5.25  - 4.95   = 0.3 kg

the total weight of all the 10 bags = 10.2  kg

total weight of 7 smaller bags is 0.3 kg more than  total weight of 3 bigger bags
