Hello, Buddy!!

Given:-

  • Riya has a rope of length 36m.
  • Rope was cut it into two pieces such that the length of one piece is 4 m longer than the other.

To Find:-

  • Length of two pieces.

Required Solution:-

Let,

Length of small piece be 'x'

Then, Length of the second piece will be (x+4)cm.

According To The Sum

→ x+(x+4) = 36

→ 2x = 36-4

→ x = 32/2

→ x = 16cm

  • Length of Small Piece ☞ 16cm

Substituting the value of x = 16cm

→ x+4

→ x+16

→ 20cm

  • Length of Long Piece ☞ 20cm

GIVEN :-

  • Length of Rope = 36 m
  • Rope was parted into two parts such that one piece is 4 m longer than other.

TO FIND :-

  • Length of both divided parts of ropes.

SOLUTION :-

Let, the length of small part be \sf x.

⇒ Length of second part will be \sf y.

The value of \sf y is given,

 \sf \blue{y = (x + 4)m}

According to the question,

 \sf x + (x + 4) = 36m

 \sf 2x + 4= 36

 \sf 2x = 36 - 4

 \sf 2x = 32

 \sf x =  \frac{32}{2}

\sf \fbox \orange{x = 16m}

☞ Therefore, Length of small piece is 16m.

Substituting the value of \sf x in the equation of second part.

 \sf y = x + 4

 \sf y = 16 + 4

 \sf \fbox \orange{y = 20m}

Therefore the length of larger part is 20m.

Hence,

  • Smaller Part = 16m
  • Larger Part = 20m
