secondary oocytes retains the bulk of cytoplasm so if fertilisation takes place than the early zygote can given nutrition...until it gets implanted in endometrium...
the first polar body degenerates in most of the organism...and yes it does in human beings

Function of Secondary Oocyte
Explanation:
- The primary polar body conceived out of the first meiotic division doesn't separate yet deteriorates further.this degeneration is the unequal division of cytoplasm.
- The cytoplasm is either missing or present in negligible amount in the polar body and it degenerates
- During oogenesis, the essential oocytes separation to frame optional oocyte and a polar body by meiosis
- This division can't rise to meiotic division in light of the fact that the polar body is littler in measure and contain less measure of cytoplasm as compared to the secondary oocyte
