"Road transport and Rail transport in India are not competitive but complementary to each other." Justify the statement.

Road transport is a buffer transport to all other transports. To reach to the railway station you need to go from your house to the station and the connection to both of them i.e, your house and the railway station, is a road transport only.

Hence it is not competitive but complementary.
