Subject: Vendors usurping pavements and traffic congestion
Dear Sir:
I wish to bring to your kind notice the problem of vendors occupying pavements and the subsequent traffic congestion caused by street vendors. The problem is so serious that every day almost all the roads become impassable owing to the long traffic jams. Owing to the lack of strict action, the problem persists.
Well these street vendors have the right to sell their
goods; but the other people also have the right to use the roads. These jams
caused by street vendors are causing a huge loss to the national resources. Not
only time is wasted, fuel worth millions of rupees also gets wasted.
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I appeal to concerned authorities to allot some specific areas to these vendors where they can sell their goods. A heavy fine should be levied against the defaulters. I am sure this allotment of fixed place to these vendors will solve the problem. I on behalf of the citizens of Ludhiana appeal to the authorities to look into the matter and relieve the citizens of the menace of jams caused by street vendors.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Gibran

Dear Editor
As an avid reader of your newspaper, I always admire the way you take up social and political issues in the hopes of raising awareness and creating change in the country.
In this regard I wanted to bring to your attention the problems being created in Mandir Colony, Noida, where I live.
In our colony, roadside vendors have set up tens of their carts, selling fruit, meat, vegetables and completely blocking the pavements for pedestrians and sometimes even the road. The local police has not taken any action since years now and I feel the situation is only getting worse as these vendors have been polluting pavements and it has even lead to an increase in crime.
Respected sir, can you please kindly create awareness about this situation through your newspaper as it help us a lot
Thanks a lot
