Robert Clive was not murdered, he commited suicide because when he was asked to remove corruption form the British Administration in Bengal, he was cross-examined by the British Court which suspected that he has a wealth of about 1,04,617 Pounds. Although he was acquittedz he commited suicide in the year 1774 because he was fired from his rank.
