Answer:

Total no of pages torn by him are 135 (183-318)

Possible 5 options are

A             138

B             183

C             831

D             813

E              318

First option 138 is not possible as he started starting from 183

Second option 183 is also not possible as he torn several pages so he must have torn more than one pages

Third option 831 is also logically not possible as the first page he torn is 183 odd number so the last page must be an even number here 831 is odd number so it is also not possible (you can check out in practical book as well)

Similarly fourth option 813 is also logically not possible as the first page he torn is 183 odd number so the last page must be an even number here 813 is odd number so it is also not possible (you can check out in practical book as well)

So last option 318 is the right answer & it is also even number (you can check out this quiz by practical experience as well)
